The source text and its limits

At about 5:05 in the later-game recording, the Forge header says gear drops ONLY from boss raids, with Normal: the kill and Hard: 75%+, plus guild-war tiers 3 and 5. This establishes the documented source boundary; it does not establish a complete personal-contribution formula for every reward tier.

A practical farming checklist

  1. Open Forge and identify the actual slot and piece you need.
  2. Read whether it is forgeable with scrap or marked Raid Drop.
  3. Join a raid through its timed window, or check the guild-war tier and your participation requirements.
  4. Read the post-fight result and check scrap and equipment separately. A duplicate may level an existing piece rather than add a second wearable item.
  5. Compare the current bonus and next-level price before using scrap to create a new piece.

Mythic rows and drop percentages

Stormbreaker, Colossus Plate and Tempest Core are shown as raid-kill drops: Normal 1 in 1,000, Hard 1 in 500. The same interface has ordinary piece shares such as Common 20%, Rare 8%, Epic 4% and Legendary 1.3%. These labels have different contexts. Do not multiply them together or treat a percentage-of-drops row as the chance for every story fight.

Gear Hunter, the official pass, advertises 2× gear from raids/guild wars and 2× Mythic chance. Its short description does not prove a detailed roll order or stacking formula. Use the pass comparison if considering it.

The source finder filters the documented routes. The equipment table shows the observed pieces and gear comparison keeps comparisons within a slot.
